Client Overview

When they joined BAD,  Mountain Voyage was failing to run Amazon ads in house. They were ready to launch a new variation of their best selling ASIN, and wanted our help. Our Initial audit proved that this was an extremely competitive category, with little differentiating factors between brands.

Challenge

We had no account data to start with. The client had tried to run ads himself, with no real knowledge of Amazon PPC, so we were essentially starting from ground zero with massive goals to hit.

Our Process

PHASE 1: CATALOG OPTIMIZATION & RESEARCH

The first 2 months were spent optimizing the accounts content, making sure listings had a full product page and details, and also acquiring data on PPC as to where scaling was possible.  During this time frame, we found that the gifting promos were very successful for this account, so we made sure to track sale holidays that we could be heavily involved in.

PHASE 2: Launch Ads

After our research period, and optimizing the catalog as a whole, we were ready to turn on ads. Our first 30 days led to over half a million dollars in sales attributed to our ads, at a 63.6% ACOS.

Phase 3: scaling

Once we knew how this brands customers wanted to see the product, we pushed spend to scale and grow new-to-brand customer sales. We expanded dramatically with video ads, and tested multiple media asset styles to continue testing branding. This phase of testing and scaling is what led us to over $4million PPC sales in the following 9 months.
