Before BAD Marketing
We started working with this client on June 6th, 2022. At that time he was doing just below $50k a month.
- The client was working with a different marketing agency prior to joining us
- Historically there were 2 months (March & May 2022) where the revenue spiked.
- When the client came to us they explained that to achieve those higher months, the previous agency OVERSPENT on marketing spend to achieve higher revenue and this left them in the RED.
- The client left shortly after this.
- We started working with the client just after this occurred and so they were incredibly hesitant to put their trust in another growth partner (understandably so!) BUT they knew they had to find a way to become profitable.

The Initial Offer
The client agreed to offer a small discount on bundles as long as we only advertise the offer to TOF audiences and not on main pages of their website.
BUT THE OFFER ALONE WASN'T EVERYTHING
- We implemented extremely detailed upsells and cross-sells based on all the top sellers in the cart.
- We came up with the idea of creating a Pre-Purchase and Post-Purchase upsell strategy that would trigger once visitors add items to their cart and again once they make a purchase.
- We ended up creating 10+ different funnel upsells depending on what items visitors would add to their cart or buy.
It worked! Our results were finally moving in a positive & profitable direction and subsequently revenue was increasing.
Paid Ads
Although we were hitting the same ROAS with paid ads, we were able to drastically increase AOV on the store by 22% in comparison to the previous 90 days. Now that new customers were more valuable to us, it meant we could spend more on ads while ultimately being more profitable.
We ended the month of September with $91,000 in revenue. The client was now more open to our suggestions and we managed to come to an agreement with them to start creating special landing pages to promote different offers. From September 1st to 5th we made our client $25,000 with this one sales page!
Email and SMS Marketing
By implementing & optimizing core flows in addition to sending regular campaigns, we were able to generate over $34,000 out of the $91,000 from email & SMS (that’s 38% of the total revenue)
WE WERE ABLE TO GET OUR CLIENT A FACEBOOK AD CREDIT OF $25,000 THAT WE COULD USE FOR FACEBOOK AND INSTAGRAM SHOP CAMPAIGNS. We generated $50,000 in return from that credit + we managed to get even more data into the pixel and we also found new winners for ads and audiences. And it cost our client NOTHING.
The Results
As you can tell, this client's success was not due to luck but it actually came down to a solid strategy that once the client was onboard with it, allowed him to see the power of e-commerce and digital marketing once you combine them.
